Highlights Of The Week (Several)

Highlights:

Scarlettisms:

"So's me" = Me Too

She has taken on an annoying of say 'HUH?'
'Please say that again' (not annoying, very cute)
'Not that story, the next one' [example: you are recapping your day and say a few events: Ran errends, went skiing, had a meeting]
She will say HUH?
You say 'I ran errands'
She says; Not that story the next one.
Oh, I went skiing.
She says: Say that again, Mommy.
I went skiing
she says: Oh

I hear her talking all the time and I will ak her what she said and she says:
'No, I'm just talking to myself'

When we are talking or sing and she doesn't want us to she waves her hand at us.

Me: 'What are you staring at?'
S: 'You're boobs'

'Oh, this is my favorite band' I <3 this so much, my budding punk rocker.

Me: When baby brother sleeps through the night, what do you think about sharing a room?
S: In my crib?
Me: You would be in your crib & he would be in his crib.
S: Awesome

Rite of Passage: Scarlett got her first bee sting this weekend at the playground.
It really shocked her and she is in pain and sobbing and she says 'what was that?!?' 'Why bee hurt me?' 'I DON'T LIKE BEES NO MORE!'

At dinner yesterday
S:'I want music!'
Me: What do you want to listen to? 'Mellow, Rocka, Hip Hop, Ska?'
S: 'Rocka!'
This then erupted into an awesome kitchen dance party in the middle of dinner, all four of us.

Gideon:
-Getting stronger and stronger everyday

-He is experimenting with sitting up

-He's a rolling over fool, although a tad lazy about it. He can roll forwards and backwards but, not all the time. Just when the mood strikes.

-Loves snapping, thinks it's hysterical

-The sun rises and sets on his big sister.

-We are one week into sleep training, it is heart wrenching but we are seeing results. The boy is actually even napping a bit during the day. I still feed him twice during the night but, this weekend we are cutting one of those feeds out.
We really threw a lot at him at once: move to the crib, unswaddled him, & closed the all night milk buffet and he takes it all in stride. Our go along to get along guy.
