Scarlett is 41 Weeks!

Highlights:

This was a crazy week for all of us and a unique one for Scarlett. She became a member of the Hilsee clan! Mama Caty, Papa Pete & Big Brother Elias, did an outstanding job caring for her, making her feel loved and secure while Mommy was away. When I came back she was like 'oh, hi mom, great to see you!'. I am back and the Hilsee's continue to do an amazing job helping take care of our little girl. As hard as this all is, it is such a unique experience for my sister and her family to really get to know Scarlett and spend some amazing time together.

-Scarlett got another tooth! The count is up to five now. She has a long way to go with regards to chewing and swallowing but, she has the tools in place when she is ready.

What a great ride it's been. She is the mostest, specialist kid and it is an honor she chose us to be her parents. She is such a chill, happy little being always up for anything always up to learning something new. My god we are so blessed.

As followers of this blog know, the family spent some time in Baltimore recently (two thirds of the family are still there, actually). Mama Cathy, Papa Pete, and Cousin Elias were unbelievable hosts -- just amazing -- and Scouty, oblivious to the reason we were there, was happy as a clam. I took a LOT of pictures of her at 5700 Stuart Ave., so I could share them with her mom when I saw her. Here are some (well, practically all) of those pics.
